API 36 Google Play update · targetSdk 36 + Play Billing 8

Is your Android app hidden on Google Play?

We update it to Google's 2026 rules: target API 36, with a Play Billing 8 check if your app sells in-app. Same app, same design, same features.

Native Android apps only, Java and Kotlin. Free check first, fixed price before any work starts.

What an outdated app costs you

Your app still works.
Google Play just stops helping it.

No results on Android 15+

New users can't find it

Apps below the required target level are hidden from people on Android 15 and newer phones. That is where most new installs come from.

Update rejected

You can't ship any update

Bug fixes, security patches, a new server address. Nothing can be published until the app meets the new target level.

New phone, app missing

Old users slowly drift away

People change phones every two or three years. On a new phone, your app may not install again from the store.

What does not happen: your app is not deleted, and payments from existing users do not stop. The real cost is growth and the ability to update.

FAQ

Questions owners ask us

Will my app's design or features change?
No. We update what Google Play requires and what is needed to build. The screens and features stay as they are.
Is my app going to be deleted if I don't update?
No. It stays on Google Play and existing users can keep using it. It is hidden from new users on newer phones, and you cannot publish updates until it meets the target level.
What do you need from me?
The full source code, through a GitHub invite or a zip file. We do not need your keystore, passwords or Play Console access.
How much does it cost?
It depends on how old the project is. After the free check you get one fixed price and a delivery date before any work starts.
Do you work with Flutter or React Native?
No. We work only on native Android apps written in Java or Kotlin. No Flutter, React Native, Xamarin or Unity.
Do you convert my Java code to Kotlin?
No. Your code stays in the language it is written in. When we say Kotlin, we mean upgrading the Kotlin and Gradle toolchain versions your project builds with.
My app has in-app purchases. Is Play Billing 8 part of the update?
Google Play requires Billing Library 8 for updates from 31 August 2026. Checking your version is free in every job. If the billing code needs rewriting, we quote that part separately before starting.
My app uses native C/C++ code (.so files). Does that matter?
Yes. Google Play also requires native libraries to support 16 KB page sizes. We check your files and tell you exactly where you stand. A prebuilt library can only be rebuilt by its owner.
Are there apps you don't accept?
Yes. We don't take adult or gambling apps, or anything that breaks Google Play policy.
